Kyle Fowler

Director of OPerations

Hometown:  Erie, PA

Kyle Fowler helped start Beach Trips Vacation Rentals after nearly a decade of working in the resort tourism industry in Myrtle Beach. Kyle is originally from Erie, Pa but relocated to Myrtle Beach in 2005. Kyle graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2017 and his love of hospitality began during his time working in hotels during college. His experience as a former Guest Service Manager helps provide excellent experiences for our guests and owners. Kyle enjoys spending his free time traveling with his wife and experiencing local events here in Myrtle Beach.


Jay McLaurin

Director of Revenue / BUsiness Development

Hometown:  Roanoke, VA

Jay McLaurin joined the Beach Trips team bringing a broad spectrum of experience in the hospitality industry. Raised in the Southwest Virginia mountains, Jay relocated to the Myrtle Beach area in 2014 after 17 years in the seasonal resort destination of Jackson Hole, WY. Jay’s experience encompasses over 27 years of Hotel and Vacation Rental Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management, most recently 9-1/2 years as the Myrtle Beach Senior Market Manager for Expedia Group and HSMAI SC Chapter President from 2019-2024. Jay loves the outdoors and spends most of his free time fishing and sharing the low-country lifestyle with his wife and daughter.


Jacob Smith

Hometown:  Myrtle Beach, SC

A Myrtle Beach native, Jacob Smith grew up surrounded by the hospitality industry. This family business, spanning three generations, has deeply ingrained an appreciation for the Grand Strand’s tourism sector. After earning an Economics degree from Wofford College, Jacob continued his education receiving a J.D. at the Charleston School of Law. Always having an entrepreneurial spirit, he has worked in an array of property management positions along with real estate. Jacob currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and the Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance. Jacob resides in Murrells Inlet with his wife and three children.
